Swiss jewelers has created the first diamond ring. Oh yes! Shamish Jewelry created not just a diamond ring composed of a metal band with a diamond centerpiece but the whole ring is forged from a diamond. They crafted a piece of jewelry made entirely of diamond which is 150 carat worth and the company calls it “world's first diamond ring”. Styleite writes that the 150-carat ring runs laps around some other famous diamond competitors, including BeyoncĂ©'s 18-carat engagement ring from Jay-Z and the even better known 30-carat ring given to the late Elizabeth Taylor by Richard Burton.
It took the team a year to carve the diamond using lasers along with the traditional diamond cutting and polishing techniques. The precious ring is expected to sell for $70 million. Now I'm wondering..... Who in the world might end up with one of these?
